THE HARDWARE STORE THAT DREAMED OF BEING A RESTAURANT

Founded in 1911, it was known as the most dazzling hardware store in Barcelona, but few knew its history and the secrets hidden inside. During the Spanish Civil War it housed a secret dining room in its basement. Are you interested in knowing more? Just ask! Today with the same loving care that was used to choose hammers, nails and screws for over 100 years, we have selected the best beers, wines, cured meats, fish, seafood and local products for our own customers to enjoy.

Nonstop cooking, from 10 morning to midnight, Monday to Sunday

Our Rafols family is made up of trusted producers, such as the Ràfols Bacallaneria, our supplier of anchovies, Pepe, our local fisherman, and the Solà de Argentona family, bakers since 1615. At Casa Rafols everything is fresh and homemade- the smoked and marinated fish,

salmon, sea bass, sardines and anchovies. In addition, the foie gras and all our desserts are prepared in-house by our chef. We also offer our own range of preserves, oils and wines created with the collaboration of local producers. All of our dishes have been designed to share and enjoy with other members of your party.

Spaces

THE BAKERY

We are extremely proud to work with the Solà family, artisans bakers of bread for many generations. They have chosen our restaurant to be the only place in Barcelona where they sell their quality products.

The origins of Pa Solà date back to 1615, when it was built in the Can Solà farmhouse in Sant Boi de Lluçanès (Barcelona).  It was the first place in town where bread was baked for all the people in the village. Since then there has always been a baker from the Solà family, continuing the family´s handcrafted and manual methods in its bread. Their breads feature baker art learned generation after generation and they still continue to spend the same amount of time producing each and every loaf. The vast majority of them have four fermentations, and some pieces have up to 36 hours of fermentation.

PRIVATE ROOMS FOR EVENTS

Casa Rafols has several spaces to accommodate your needs for your special event or celebration. There are two main rooms in the restaurant Casa Rafols on the street level as well as in Club 61 in the basement level. In addition, we are able to offer our Mr.Rafols room in the lower level and our Private Garden in the basement level.
